#1 FAQ - How many watts of solar panels can I have connected to this?

Answer: The specs say, for example, 3200w when you are charging a 48v battery. Charging a 24v battery would be 1600w Just keep the solar open circuit voltage input under 100v. You can always parallel solar panels to keep the voltage under. Volts x amps = watts. Always make sure your solar input voltage stays below 100v and amps are under 60a. Also make sure your battery can handle up to 60a continuous charge rate. We recommend using a 60a in line fuse as an added layer of protection between the charge controller and battery.
